Over the years Doug has directed and consulted with individual performers, professional theatre companies, as well and university and high school productions. As artist-in-residence he has designed and created commedia dell’arte masks, taught commedia, it’s characters, performance style, and then consulted with directors on improvisation, mask play, and the physical comedy during the rehearsal period. He has also been involved in creating and directing original productions.
